For over half a century the Passionists have been “Handing on the Faith” (Our Golden Jubilee Retreat Theme) with their mission and ministry in South Florida.  Our Lady of Florida Monastery was opened in 1962 (although retreats started in 1960) and in 2012, we celebrate our 50^th Anniversary and our 40^th Annual Spiritus Dei Ball.  The 2012 Ball is going to be a very special gala and we want you to join us to commemorate this milestone.

Who We Hand on the Faith to

            The Passionists and Our Lady of Florida serve all people, from individuals to parish groups and beyond.  No one is turned away.  Laity, ecumenical groups, military chaplains, clergy, religious, teachers and many others find the quiet space that their lives require here at Our Lady of Florida. 

Our requested stipend (retreat donation) is about half the cost of putting on a retreat team-led program.  That stipend is further discounted for youth, Spanish migrants, those in recovery (12-Step) and young adults.  These groups are welcome here and we ask friends like you to support them through your generosity and sacrifice for your brothers and sisters in Christ.

How You Can Help us Hand on the Faith

Our 40^th Annual and Golden Jubilee Spiritus Dei Ball 2012 is being held on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 from 6:00pm until 11pm at the Grand Clubhouse at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens.  As you may know, this is our most important annual fundraiser and as always will include a wonderful evening of dining, dancing and entertainment.  Please mark your calendar and unite with us to observe this special occasion. 

All proceeds from the Ball will be used to underwrite the expenses from retreats, spiritual direction and other ministry with the most marginalized in our society.  We ask once more that you share your resources and bond with the ministry that allows us to serve you and the community as we have in the past.  See the links below for the many ways you can help.

In our individual ways, and with the gifts God has given us, we strive to carry out our ministry as God allows us.  Our gratitude for His gifts permits Our Lady of Florida to continue to provide a spiritually open environment for all those on a faith journey.  We join to that ministry and to Spiritus Dei (the Spirit of God) with our response to this appeal.
