PLEASE NOTE: For faster loading and editing we have broken down the Parish Retreat Calendar and other team-led events to two pages; one for July through December 2007 and one for January through June 2008.
Our regularly scheduled weekend retreat programs are attended by one or more parish or other groups. There are men's, women's, married couples and co-ed weekends; Centering Prayer Retreats, Women's Guided Retreats and Holy Week Retreat. We always welcome and encourage new individuals, parishes or other groups to join us. If your parish or group is not represented or if you would like to either join a current parish event or organize an additional one, please contact Our Lady of Florida’s Retreat Office. Individuals from any parish are always welcome on scheduled parish retreat weekends where room is available. If there are no parishes listed for an event (eg. Holy Week, Married Couples), it is open to all parishes, groups and individuals.
Holy Week Retreat - 2008 Our Holy Week Retreat begins on Wednesday, March 19th and ends after breakfast on Easter Sunday (following a glorious outdoor sunrise Eucharist Celebration). This year's theme is To Be Announced.
Mother Daughter Retreat NOTE: Canceled for 2008. Each one of us is so unique! God intends for us to celebrate who we are! How do we do this in our mother-daughter relationship? How can we “be ourselves” and also grow in this wonderful, sometimes painful, but always dynamic experience called the mother-daughter relationship? Experience some special time together and celebrate!!
Fr. Michael Crosby, OFM Cap. Special Retreats Fr. Michael Crosby, OFM, Cap. is author of several books, including: The Spirituality of the Beatitudes and Can Religious Life be Prophetic? He is a national and international speaker and retreat leader. Our Lady of Florida is fortunate to have Fr. Michael for a week-long retreat in 2008 for vowed religious and clergy. Married Couples Retreats Each year, the retreat team of Our Lady of Florida in collaboration with the laity present Married Couples Weekend Retreats that are organized specifically for today's married couples. Day and Evening Programs Along with weekend retreats and other overnight programs, Our Lady of Florida also offers Monthly Days and Evenings of Prayer, and other events for various purposes. Centering Prayer Retreats, Workshops and Groups The timeless tradition of Centering Prayer is taught and practiced at Our Lady of Florida in joint partnership with Contemplative Outreach, Ltd. and Dr. Ellen McCormack, Ph.D., Associate Director at Our Lady of Florida. These events are open to beginners and practiced alike. Women's Guided Retreats Due to their popularity, Sr. Roberta Popara, O.P. and Our Lady of Florida are pleased to offer special week-long Women's Guided Retreats during the summer of 2008. Twelve Step Programs Our Lady of Florida continues to host weekend Twelve-Step Recovery Retreats for both men and women where the God of our understanding leads us through our healing process. This page contains brief descriptions while the calendar listings may be found under Other Programs and Days of Prayer. Hosted Programs Our facilities are available to rent for groups whose philosophies are not opposed to the general mission of the Passionists. As you can see by the calendars above, our current listing of programs is not limited only to Roman Catholic groups. Please visit this page for more details. Personal Retreats Individuals may request personal retreats. Our Lady of Florida offers directed and non-directed retreats based on your needs.
