What are we willing to give Jesus?
The book of Exodus clearly shows us the guidelines and what is necessary for the Passover feast. The lamb must be “male and without blemish” and “with the whole assembly of Israel present, it shall be slaughtered during the evening twilight.” The blood of the lamb is what saves and it’s roasted flesh must be consumed.
The mystery of the Passover feast is finally revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus gives his body and blood willingly as the Son of God and as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is in communion with all the Fathers of the Faith and the prophets as they underwent their trials, as they under went their persecutions, the son of God is victorious in instituting the Eucharist and conquering death once and for all.
Before the feast of Passover, Jesus celebrates the Last Supper in which he gives us his body and blood.
